WEBSTER TECHNIQUE/PREGNANCY

At Foundations, we are always excited to learn that a patient is pregnant and enjoy helping them to remain comfortable and active during and after their pregnancy. Expectant mothers experience an array of physical changes including hormonal increases, weight gain and postural changes/adaptations. All of these factors may have an effect on normal pelvic and sacral alignment and as a result create imbalances (tension/torsion) in the ligaments and musculature. Having normal pelvic neuro-biomechanics (which includes pelvic alignment) is important in the prevention of dystocia (difficult labour). Dystocia can be related to uterine function, pelvic contraction and baby malpresentation (i.e. breech presentation). (www.icpa4kids.com)

The chiropractors at Foundations are certified in The Webster Technique, a specific sacral analysis and a specific adjustment, which aims to restore normal sacral alignment and as a result improve the neuro-biomechanics of the pelvis.

Chiropractic care is a safe and effective method to keep you and your baby healthy throughout pregnancy and beyond. We love meeting and treating your new little ones.
