Chiropractic Visit

What to Bring:

  • Please bring the appropriate clothing for the area you wish to be examined (i.e. Shorts for a knee or leg injury, tank top for a shoulder injury).
  • Imaging (x-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound) reports pertaining to the injury.
  • A list of medications you are currently taking.

On your initial visit to Foundations, we will be learning about you and your health concerns. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time to fill in your paperwork.

The Initial Visit (45 minutes to 1 hour):

The chiropractor will first sit down with you to discuss your primary complaint, as well as your general health history. Once this is complete, they will perform a comprehensive physical examination that will include orthopedic, neurological and muscular testing. The doctor will then establish a diagnosis and develop an individualized plan of management that best suits your needs.

Treatment will usually commence on the first visit; however, complex cases may require a more extensive health history, physical examination and/or further testing to be performed. In these cases treatment may begin on the second visit.
