Dr. Carrie Johnston’s path to becoming a chiropractor began at Queen’s University where she completed both her Bachelor of Physical and Health Education and Bachelor of Science. She then went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario in 2008.


Dr. Johnston is an evidence-based chiropractor who continually strives to further her education to provide patients with the best possible care. As such, she is certified in the Webster Technique (International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association), Active Release Techniques®, Graston Technique® and has taken courses in Mulligan Mobilizations.


Athletics have always been a large and integral part of Dr. Johnston’s life and are one of the main reasons she chose to enter the chiropractic profession. Dr. Johnston has an extensive background in both singles and synchronized skating, and now enjoys recreational pursuits such as golf, running, waterskiing, and strength training.


In addition to the above education, Dr. Johnston is also a Level 2 certified Golf Medical Professional through the Titleist Performance Institute. This has allowed her to integrate her love of golf with her passion for optimizing health and performance.

Dr. Ashleigh Harris


As a young athlete, Dr. Ashleigh Harris was introduced to the chiropractic profession to manage her health, wellness and injury prevention needs in a variety of sports. Dr. Harris began her academic career at Memorial University of Newfoundland where she obtained an Honours Degree in Kinesiology. She subsequently attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating with honors in June of 2017.


Over the course of her academic years, Dr. Harris was primarily involved in hockey and soccer as a trainer, therapist and medic. She continues to be involved in sport as the trainer for the U17 Mavericks High Performance Girls’ Volleyball team and as a medic for the Ontario Provincial Development League in soccer.


Dr. Harris is also a Certified Exercise Physiologist, EFR and Hockey Trainer with additional certifications in athletic taping, coaching and respect in sport. In 2015, she completed her Registered Yoga Teacher training as a Therapeutic Hatha Vinyasa Teacher and since then has taught a variety of classes aimed towards hockey players, runners, seniors and general fitness.


Dr. Harris is a bilingual, evidence-based and sport-focused chiropractor that believes one can never stop learning or improving on their path to health, function and performance.  In her spare time, she is avidly involved in strength training, cycling, golf, yoga and snowboarding.

Alexandra Martin’s strong appreciation for the human body and balanced approach to personal wellness lead her into the passionate world of massage therapy. She went on to graduate with Honours from the Massage Therapy advanced diploma program at Georgian College in 2015. She is now a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).


Alexandra believes in the benefits of massage therapy for injury prevention, optimizing physical function, rehabilitation, and stress reduction. She is trained in myofascial release, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, trigger point release, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy and remedial exercise.


In addition, Alexandra is certified in Cupping Massage, which has enabled her to expand her existing knowledge and further her education.


Strength, flexibility and relaxation are all important components in maintaining a healthy and pain-free lifestyle. She prioritizes healthy living and leads an active lifestyle. She is an avid adventure seeker and enjoys travelling internationally. When not treating clients, Alexandra enjoys running, strength training and practicing yoga.

Dr. Brent Burton


Proud to serve the community he was raised in, Dr. Brent Burton has been a chiropractor in Ottawa since 2006. He studied Biology and Geography at Carleton University before going on to graduate Cum Laude and with Clinic Honours from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.

Dr. Burton focuses on restoring mobility and improving body functionality using evidence-based techniques. He strives to ensure that patients can not only remain symptom-free but also maintain active lifestyles. He has taken additional courses in Active Release Technique ®, Graston Technique® and Trigenics in order to fit patient’s needs.

Dr. Burton’s experience has allowed him to work with both professional and amateur athletes and performers, including Ottawa’s professional football team. Additionally Dr. Burton maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys a variety of sports including snowboarding and ultimate (frisbee), where he has competed multiple times at the Canadian Ultimate Championships.

Getting involved in the community is important to Dr. Burton and as such, he has given public health talks on concussion recognition and management, exercise and disease prevention and many more. He has volunteered with the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the Ottawa Carleton Ultimate Association, the Ontario Disc Sport Association, Ultimate Canada, the Ottawa Good Companions Senior Center and the Ottawa Army Run.

Dr. Naomi Johnson


Dr. Naomi Johnson is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor, born and raised in the Ottawa-Gatineau region and thrilled to be working in the community where she grew up. She completed her naturopathic medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Ontario. Her background includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She is also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) and has extensive experience in personal training and group fitness.


Dr. Johnson’s passion for health and wellness began through her own personal journey to health. She has first-hand experience with how small changes can impact one’s life in a very positive way, and considers herself extremely lucky to have been able to turn her passion for health into a career. She is fascinated by all aspects of health and holds a special interest in digestive concerns, mental health, fatigue, stress reduction, and in promoting health and wellness within members of the LGBTQ community.


Dr. Johnson’s goal as a Naturopathic Doctor is to meet you where you’re at in your life journey and to help facilitate positive, lasting changes in your health and well-being. Our bodies are constantly communicating with us via signs and symptoms. Let Dr. Johnson help you better understand those symptoms and work with you to address your optimal well-being.


In her spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys yoga, strength training, and trying out new cooking recipes. She also loves spending downtime with her two cats.

Taylor Daly


Taylor has always valued and had a keen interest in health and wellness. As such, she recently graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours degree in Human Kinetics in 2017. Taylor loves learning about different holistic healthcare approaches and the benefits that they bring to patients. She is excited and looking forward to furthering her education in the health industry.


Athletics and physical activity have always been an important element of Taylor’s life as she enjoys many activities including basketball, water-skiing, and resistance training.


As the Office Administrator at Foundations, Taylor loves seeing patients progressing towards achieving their optimal health, wellness and performance goals.
